Your support is needed
Each year, the Wimberley Senior Center serves hundreds of residents, providing essential services that help members of our community live fulfilling, independent lives. We’re able to provide these services at a minimal charge thanks to the on-going financial support generated by the Wimberley Thrift Shoppe. After 30 years of operation, that store is in desperate need of both functional and cosmetic improvements.
This year we’re setting out to improve the Wimberley Thrift Shoppe with new paint, flooring and display space. We are investing now to ensure that the store can continue to serve the community and its senior citizen population. This investment, which will be funded through donations, will improve the shopping experience and optimize the proceeds the organization generates.
Established in 1989, the Wimberley Thrift Shoppe is open five days a week and each year generates thousands of dollars that directly fund the Senior Center’s programs, including:
-
The Wimberley Senior Citizens Activities Center offers a variety of fun and educational programs for Wimberley Valley residents, including games, small meetings, health and fitness programs and group activities.
-
Wimberley on Wheels provides transportation for seniors who are unable to drive. Rides are provided for grocery shopping, medical appointments and more.
-
Circles of Friends provides enrichment activities for clients with moderate memory loss as well as respite care for caregivers.
We’re hoping we can count on your support as we work to improve the Wimberley Thrift Shoppe and increase its funding to the Wimberley Senior Center. Your tax-deductible donation can be made online here or by sending a check made out to the Wimberley Senior Citizens Activities Center, Inc. to WSCAI PO Box 2893, Wimberley TX 78676.
Donations are tax-deductible.
Thank you in advance for your support.
